I thought things were busy leading up to my solo show. Boy, I had no idea. September has me and my art bouncing all around the state of Michigan at all different major art festivals. Here is the rundown so far:
Labor Day Weekend: Arts, Beats, & Eats moved to Royal Oak this year. My solo exhibition, A Bun A Day, will still be up at Five 15, within the footprint of the festival. Also happening Labor Day weekend is the Peach Festival in Romeo. I’ll be at Starkweather Arts Center Friday evening to attend the opening of Lauren Moyer’s and Anna Cangialosi’s show. I’ll be back at Starkweather the next morning to assist with the Kid’s Fest going on.
Weekend of September 10th: Solo show coming down, but I will have work on display at the Bean & Leaf in Rochester, MI, for the Art and Apples Festival.
Monday, September 13th: Artwork due for the M.O.D.O.K. show at the Headspace Gallery in Green Brain Comics. I (of course) have a Puff Bun parody in the works for this show.
Saturday, September 18th: Maker’s Market at the InsideOut Gallery in Traverse City. I’ll be there all day selling my wares. I’ll have quite a few new items for sale there, and if you are Up North and never have a chance to travel down below to see my work (or me!) then please come visit. I’d love to see you.
Saturday, September 25th: Opening reception for the M.O.D.O.K. show at Green Brain.
After Maker’s Market, I should be able to restock my waning Etsy shop. There are only four little prints in there. They are sad and lonely. I’ll have a bunch of new prints I’ve never had for sale on Etsy before, as well as a new line of products like stickers and pinback buttons. The next art fair I have is Noel Night in the beginning of December, but I shouldn’t have to ransack my Etsy too much for that one.
Oh and there is a show I want to participate in at the very beginning of October at Starkweather. No rest for the weary…
