Motor City Pride
Heather Hansma
I was asked by Between the Lines to illustrate the cover of their special Motor City Pride issue, which came out yesterday (May 31, 2012). I had a lot of fun painting this despite the fact that the deadline was the same weekend as my wedding. Holy multitasking, Batman.

*sniff* I’m so proud to see my babies out there exploring the world. T_T
The current status of tonight’s project.
My process involves a shit-ton of layers and a shit-ton of experimentation with the paint and what it can do.
I’m pretty excited to start painting this one.
Working on a new project…

Just added to the Clearance section of my Etsy shop!
I was just at Goods dropping off some jewelry, pins, and prints and I picked up this old piece while I was there. I figured it would be a perfect fit for my new clearance department.
