Working on shipping out a batch of Etsy orders!
Every last one of my regular size (5x7” through 8x10”) archival prints are now for sale on Etsy. Not only are all the prints left in my possession listed, there will be no more full size prints made of these paintings ever again. Ever. This is it, folks. After these sell new prints of different paintings will be released in numbered limited edition runs only.
I do also have limited edition (runs of 10) mini prints that will be available online soon.

Wait, you don’t know what paczki are? Dude, no. It doesn’t matter that you aren’t Polish. Neither am I! Hell, I’m not Catholic either, but this is Detroit. We celebrate Fat Tuesday. No ifs, ands, or buts. Besides, those things are friggin’ delicious.
Personally, I think Don Draper’s real secret is that he is actually a bunny. It explains why he can be such a dick yet everyone still loves him. If you have a pet bunny you understand. Trust.
Just in time for Halloween, the final two “Brains!” archival prints left in my possession are up for sale now in my Etsy shop. Check ‘em out.

Moleskine wants you to design their new logo for free(via Moleskine’s own Facebook Page) Earlier this week you may have heard a similar story about the Obama campaign asking designers to create posters on spec to help promote jobs creation of all things (feel free to read my steam-blowing-out-of-my-ears rant about that on my Google+ page), and now you can add MOLESKINE to this camp too. I admit, long ago as a young illustrator I too fell for this crap and please believe me when I say it’s a mistake. I will never change my mind about how working artists should never bother supporting such “spec-work-disguised-as-contests.” Contests are one thing, and they can be good. Volunteering your talents is another thing, and it’s good. But creating a logo or any branding collateral for a big company for free, and knowing that the other 99.99% “losers” will essentially be tossed into the trash is just stupid, and it’s offensive that any company would think it’s OK. It’s a terrible way for you to run your business. And when you freelance you are running a business. (via drawnblog) ^ All of this. I couldn’t say it better myself. |

My piece for Perfect Laughter’s Reclaimed show
My significant other found these license plates sitting all folded up in the top of a garbage can outside a Michael’s. I knew immediately they would be perfect for the Reclaimed show. These are just the backgrounds, but I think they help set the stage for the rest of the piece.
