All set up and ready for Noel Night shoppers! Come celebrate the start of the holiday season in Midtown Detroit tonight ^_^
Hand-stamping a bunch of gift boxes and display materials in preparation of Noel Night this Saturday.
This Saturday Midtown Detroit will transform into a holiday open house during the 39th annual Noel Night. Over 60 Midtown venues, including the DIA, will open their doors to the public free of charge! Activities include holiday shopping, family craft activities, and performances by over 120 music, theatre, and dance groups. Festivities will take place between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. in and around Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center institutions. Free shuttle service will be offered between participating venues.
Special performances byThe Blind Boys of Alabama, The Tartan Terrors, Melvin Davis and The United Sound, and Breathe Owl Breathe. The evening’s festivities culminate with a community sing-along on Woodward Avenue led by the Salvation Army Band—a long-standing Noel Night tradition.
Noel Night activities take place in and around Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center institutions, primarily between Cass and John R and Kirby and Willis. Free shuttle service is offered between participating venues. Convenient parking is available in area lots. I’ll be a vendor at the Alumni and Student Art Sale on the campus of CCS on Noel Night, so if you are there enjoying the festivities I hope you’ll stop by and visit me and the bunnies ^_^

It is that time of year once again! Time for Midtown Detroit’s annual Noel Night!
I will once again be a vendor at the College for Creative Studies Alumni and Student Art Sale. This event is always one of my favorites of the year. If you are headed to DUCF, make sure to stop over at CCS’s campus for a visit. There is also a blacksmithing demonstration and live carolers.
Oh, and I’ll be doing a sale on original paintings for that night only.

I just got a new computer and I’m in the process of moving all my files over here. In the process I found a bunch of old photos of work I haven’t shown on here. These are Puff Bun ornaments I made for Noel Night 2008, which is a really cool event they hold every year in Detroit’s Midtown area. My alma mater, CCS, has an alumni craft show as part of it.
I should probably make some more of these guys, but they are crazy time consuming.
My set up at Noel Night on the campus of CCS! I’m here from 5 to 9 pm so if you are around Detroit you should come by and say hi. I’m on the second floor right outside the elevator.
Working on packaging my individual greeting cards for Noel Night tomorrow. I have the sets of multiples bundled already. Please excuse the bad iPod photo. The light in here is not flattering.
Currently cramming for Noel Night with a giant batch of tiny charms for magnets and earrings. These are all patiently awaiting their protective clear coat before they reach their final forms.

I’ll be a vendor at this year’s Noel Night festivities taking place in Midtown Detroit. The show I’m taking part in is made up entirely of students and alumni of the College for Creative Studies. If you are headed down to check out any part of Noel Night or DUCF, please consider stopping in to our little corner of Detroit. There is an amazing amount of cool stuff, and you can pick up your very own first-run Hansma Illustration greeting cards. All my other buntastic merch will be there too. Hope to see you there!
