I started blocking in some of the shadows tonight. The beginning stages are the weird time when I’m freaked out the most about actually pulling it off. It never fails.

Started painting a new piece for the Happy Serum tonight. It is a portrait of a certain pot-loving comedian, clearly. Can you guess who?

I started blocking in the figure tonight. I tend to work in blue, so this is a fun departure from my normal process.

Working on a piece for Happy Serum, which opens June 3rd at Starkweather Art Center in Romeo, MI.

Here is the final version of the commission I was working on last week (click the picture for a larger version). They absolutely loved it. I love it when that happens. I ordered the banner for them yesterday, so I should receive it sometime next week. It will be the largest incarnation of any of my artwork to date.

Oh, and the irony of a piece I made for a group of cops going into a show called Meth & Hot Dogs was not lost on anyone.
